While there is much speculation and prophecies about the year 2012, some of them predicting a negative Armageddon scenario while others predicting a transformation of human consciousness to a higher spiritual level. No one has addressed the changes in terms of the eternal Tao. According to the ancient Chinese wisdom, the Tao returns as a potent force when humanity is too out of sync with nature, human nature and the cosmic order of things. The forces of nature which is part of the Tao may go through major earth changes in order to rebalance the excessive pollution and destruction of the environment and the planet by man. This might be interpreted as the negative aspects that may occur in 2012. However, based on the principles of yin and yang which are internal laws of the Tao, we do not consider this a negative because it is a bringing back of balance and harmony for the forces of nature with man. This rebalancing also will affect in a positive way the elevation of the spiritual consciousness of humanity. For as the old structures and paradigms crumble, the building of the new world governed by the natural laws of the Tao will issue forth a new phase of peace and harmony on earth whereby man and nature will be in balance as well as humanity being in harmony with itself. Therefore, the changes that will come in the year 2012 will be to the benefit of furthering the spiritual evolution of humanity.
